Our orchestra, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, present an Evening of Music and Dance at Birmingham Symphony Hall this Friday (17 February 2012), with danced excerpts by members of Birmingham Royal Ballet.

It’s a fantastic venue, which the Guardian classical blog recently called the best orchestral concert hall in the UK, so we’re excited to be performing there tomorrow night.

As such we’re putting on a very special programme. Among the guest dancers will be Nao Sakuma and Chi Cao, who will be performing choreography from Le Corsaire, a piece not usually featured in the Company’s repertory. You can see a clip from studio rehearsals below:

In addition to this, there will also be a chance to see excerpts from Checkmate, Coppélia, The Two Pigeons and Far From the Madding Crowd. Among other musical pieces being performed by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia will be work by Saint-Saëns, Ravel, Shostakovich and Puccini.

Some good seats are still available, so to book for this very special event, click here now.
