This week Birmingham Royal Ballet performs Spring Passions, a double bill of works by Frederick Ashton at Birmingham Hippodrome, featuring The Two Pigeons and Daphnis and Chloë. The programme also tours to London in a fortnight’s time.

A pas de deux from The Two Pigeons also featured in our 2012 Evening of Music and Dance at Birmingham Symphony Hall on February 17, and you can see a video from rehearsals here.

Featured are of course the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, conducted by our Music Director Koen Kessels. Jenna Roberts and Robert Parker dance the roles of the two young lovers, reunited at the end of the ballet.

Our Principal dancers, along with our Director, Assistant Director and Chief Executive, have recently had new headshots taken for all of our programmes. Each one was invited to choose their favourite place in Birmingham as the location for the shoot, and you can see some of the results here!
