The Company are back at home now, having completed the Autumn tour. Even while the majority of us were away, however, a few remained, already hard at work on our production of The Nutcracker, which returns to Birmingham Hippodrome at the end of this month!

Here you can see some of the original modelboxes – 1/25 scale models created to demonstrate how the set would look and move when the piece was first designed in 1990.

The set was made specifically for the Birmingham Hippodrome stage. Doug Nicholson, Head of Scenic Presentation, is currently working to establish how the set will look when we also perform the production at the larger 02 arena this winter.
